Lathe

Refund Policy

Last updated 30 August 2026

Thirty days, no questions asked. If Lathe isn’t what you wanted, write to us and we’ll refund you.

The policy

You can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase, for any reason or none. You do not have to explain yourself, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

How to ask

Email support@lathe-app.com with the email address you bought with, or the order number from your receipt. That is all we need.

You can also contact Paddle directly, since Paddle is the merchant of record and processes the refund either way. Coming to us is usually faster, and it means we get to hear what went wrong.

What happens then

We authorise the refund with Paddle. Paddle returns the money to the original payment method. How quickly it appears is up to your bank — typically a few business days, occasionally longer for international cards.

Any tax Paddle collected at checkout is refunded with the purchase.

Your licence after a refund

A refunded licence stops being a licence we support, and we ask that you stop using the paid features. The software will keep working — we don’t reach into your Mac to switch things off — so this one is on the honour system, and we’d rather trust you than build machinery that assumes we can’t.

Lathe Rescue remains yours regardless. It is free, complete, and nothing about a refund takes it away. Your music is never held hostage to a billing question.

You may not need a refund at all

Lathe Rescue is free and complete, not a crippled trial. It gets everything off a supported iPod — music, ratings, play counts, artwork — before you have paid anything. If the part you care about is getting your music back, you can find out whether Lathe works on your device without spending a cent.

We would rather you tested first than bought hopefully and asked for your money back.

If something is broken

If Lathe doesn’t work on your hardware, please tell us before asking for a refund — not to delay you, but because a device that behaves unexpectedly is genuinely useful for us to know about. We will refund you either way. The 30 days is a floor, not a ceiling: if you hit a real bug on day 40, write to us anyway.
